yep, nuttyyou have been given a gift--a comfortable living and copious free time. don't waste it by insisting that your paid work fills and defines your life. instead, fill your life with what makes you happy and whole, count your blessings, and give a little bit back in terms of charity or volunteer work. you *will* regret taking the government job.
and let's not forget about the ownership stake...
