I Quit!
Scaryduck writes, "I celebrated my last day on my paper round by giving everybody next door's paper, and the house at the end 16 copies of the Maidenhead Advertiser. And I kept the delivery bag. That certainly showed 'em."
What have you flounced out of? Did it have the impact you intended? What made you quit in the first place?

leaving a shite job
i considered it justice when i was decent to my employer and told them i had a job offer and was leaving in 4 weeks.
They made my life miserable, but i had a tremendous fluke arise. My nephew looked like he had german measles on the way, and when i mentioned this to my HR lady she went white and made me go in another office as she was pregnant.
I was then told to "not go within 30 yard of her" by my c*nt director. He had never heard of cross contamination. And there was only 35 people working in a small office environment.
About 4 hours later i get a frantic phone call, said HR lady was too scared to work with me on site so they called me for to have an immediate exit interview THROUGH A GLASS DIVIDED pair of offices. Phone to Phone. I let rip a cathartic stream of painful bile filled vitriole that represent my mistreatment. I was then told to leave immediately - nearly 2 weeks early. No handover, nothing. Only 5 people knew i was leaving, so there were 30 blank looks as i just walked.
I loved it. it was a sweet moment when it dawned on me i had borrowed the Mrs' car - so mid afternoon in front of the whole office i walked out, said not one word and got in the car. reversed out of the space, stopped - put the roof down and slowly pulled away grinning like a loon.
I still let my mind drift back to this moment when times are tough. And i even remember what was on the CD, Yazz + plastic population - The only way is up. And the wave of hayfever that hit me as i arrived home.
