I Quit!
Scaryduck writes, "I celebrated my last day on my paper round by giving everybody next door's paper, and the house at the end 16 copies of the Maidenhead Advertiser. And I kept the delivery bag. That certainly showed 'em."
What have you flounced out of? Did it have the impact you intended? What made you quit in the first place?

Not me, and not really a flounce...
...but it ws impresive.
I work for a very small company, with only 7 employees. One of my co-workers (lets call her X) was a little different, shall we say - she was 37, hadn't worked for at least 5 years before starting as an intern at our place, and had no previous experience with a computer.
X hadn't been happy in the job for a while (there isn't much room for promotion in a company this small, especially if you don't know your way rond a PC) and during one late night at work, she FLIPPED OUT!
Everyone else working that evening was in the back room, but could hear X screaming at the manager about how the company was shit, the manager was shit, the way everything was run was shit, the employees were shit (despite the fact we were in earshot), and lots more to do with how shitty the place was.
The manager could only take so much of this, and told her to leave if she wasn't happy. We all went for a drink after this, apart from our disgruntled co-worker, and all agreed we wouldn't see X again.
Next day comes, and despite everything that was said, X is back! No-one could figure out why she was there, as she'd pretty much told the boss to go fuck themselves the previous night.
(X left a month later, but only after sitting around with a face like a slapped arse for the entire time. Good riddance, I say)
