Big bucksI worked at a computer centre that had been built in the grounds of a Victorian mental hospital. Going through the gates one day, I was accosted by a patient. He was young, about 6', 18 stone and of afro-caribbean descent. Luckily, he was also medicated to the gills, so I could easily avoid his assaults until the nurses arrived to lead him away.
A few weeks later I went home for Xmas to visit the aged parents, and happened to mention the incident to my father.
The next day, I overheard him talking to a neighbour: "And then this big buck nigger, high on drugs..."
Did I take him to task? Did I buggery.
