This is a question Racist grandparents

It Came From Planet Aylia says: "My husband's mad Auntie Joan accused the man seven doors down of stealing her milk as he was the first black neighbour she had. She doesn't even get her milk delivered." Tell us about casual racism from oldies.

Thanks to Brayn Dedd who suggested this too

had a similar experience with some retired neighbours once
we'd just moved in and met them. went for a cup of tea, admired the daily mail on the coffee table & the crocheted wall hangings of their own garden

me: "so have you lived round here a long time?"
neighbour: "all my life. though it's getting a bit colourful round here. all these immigrants. we're thinking of moving to france"

i didn't point out that (i) they'd be immigrants too then and (ii) france is hardly some kind of pure-bred european theme park free from all teh darkies

I find it hilarious that the first thought of most of this type of racist is emigration
sorry, did I say "hilarious"?

I meant "sickeningly hypocritical".
