Its totally bizarre
how we put arbitrary power in random words. The word 'nigger' is supposed to be the epitome of what you cannot say on television.
Yet I can buy Enid Blyton's Lesser Works of Racism - The Magic Faraway Tree - and read to my children about how Dick and Fanny have fun in the woods with strangers.
