It is such a slippery slope, one minute you are arguing with your mother about how everyone is equal and correcting her about right things to say, next thing you know it's a cuppa tea and an inadvertent contraction - "Yes, the Japs next door were saying..." - and then BAM! you're doomed to be like ma. Luckily my granddad popped his clogs ages ago, so I feel I am pretty safe now from hereditary racism.
