Racist grandparents
It Came From Planet Aylia says: "My husband's mad Auntie Joan accused the man seven doors down of stealing her milk as he was the first black neighbour she had. She doesn't even get her milk delivered." Tell us about casual racism from oldies.
Thanks to Brayn Dedd who suggested this too

'Like' is a subjective term.
I've stolen many jokes and gotten inspiration for many 'shops from there.
I don't think it comes down to like/dislike.

No. Jokes make me laugh. It must be something about the nature of them.
I'd get outraged if no one was making a mockery of racism. If we treat it like a Sombre Horrible Thing then we are still giving it power over us. If we take the piss, mock and sneer -then WE have the power over it.
There's a flaw or two there.

I try to shop more ethically
but I don't even know what coltan is, how can I make sure it's Fairtrade or whatever? The people require information before making informed decisions - not saying it's your job, but you can't blame Everyman Joe for supporting a slave trade he's not even aware exists.

Start here.
www.google.com.au/search?q=coltan+mining&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a
You all have access to the same internet I do, the information is there to be found. It's not hard.
Ooh, for shits and giggles, do a google search on 'modern slave trade' and have a real fucking belly laugh at what racism really means, so as to stop bitching like little girls with hurty feelings over some powerless words.

One picks one's battles.
One doesn't waste breath on some pedantry.

You pick your battles...
until you have no argument, and move on to something else.

Sure, why not?
I *could* bitterly stay the course, grimly and unswervingly holding the line and staying true to myself.
But my 'Oh dear, for fuck's sake!' gland would get infected.
