He sounds like a properly fucked up case.
Bad home life? That sounds like attention-seeking behaviour or revenge psychosis to me.

The weird thing was
his home life seemed absolutely fine. Fairly well off, loving parents, did well at school and uni. His little brother was the total opposite - a nice, kind, sensible lad.
I think he was just like that - sociopathic. He seemed to have no concern whatsoever about how his behaviour effected anyone else.

Yep
He really bothered me. Quite a few people just went along with it and were happy to be mates with him, though. That's what I found REALLY terrifying.
