If she was a virginshe didn't use anything as a contraceptive.
I think what you mean was that she was unpleasant, and as a consequence was unable to enter into a meaningful, and eventually sexual relationship.
I feel bitterness in your post though. A small hint of a persecution complex, perhaps.
