Canadian generosityMy best friend is Canadian. As a nation they seem to be exceedingly generous and kind, so this does not surprise me at all. Plus I have never visited a country that looks inwards rather than outwards more than Japan.
I had the same problem with the ATMs and perplexed looks when I tried to exchange Taiwanese dollars for yen, in spite of them being the nearest neighbours and providing the greatest numbers of tourists.
