Rubbish TownsI once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

WickenA fairly big vilalge in Cambridgeshire, populated mostly by the old and birdwatchers. I had the misfortune of growing up there. Now don't get me wrong; up to the age of about 12 it has its appeals. Lots of fields to play in etc etc. However, about the time that you notice girls, you realise that it's in the middle of fucking nowhere, there's no shops and the bus service is somewhat limited. By limited I mean one return bus service a week; it departs for Cambridge on a Wednesday morning. The return is on a Friday evening.

yes!One of my schoolfriends lived out there. Very pretty place, we used to go there to watch the bumps. Bus services in Cambs are fairly atrocious once you get outside the city limits, whichever direction you go in.

Wicken...but it's not too far from our favourite pub - the Five Miles at Upware (which, unlike the Maid's Head, hasn't been shut down for hygeine reasons, as far as I know) - the drive home to Bottisham along the back roads is fun...
