This is a question Rubbish Towns

I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

For many years I lived in Watford
I too thought it was the most horrible place in the world.
And then I went to Morden. And Sutton. And Lewisham... After a while you really appreciate how much you miss the architectural niceties of Charter Place, and how much the dossers in Cassiobury Park really added local colour.

Oh, that was you was it?
Kidding - I don't suppose I ever saw you. I hope you know some people in Watford now; if not, there are rumours of there sometimes being people on the High Street, so you might have luck making friends there :)
