Rubbish TownsI once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.

I was luckyBorn in Blackburn too, but was evacuated to Johannesburg in late 1970 - one of the better decisions my parents made. I've only been back once - my dad's best mate gave me a guided tour of where we used to live, and showed me the remains of the recently-demolished hospital where I was born. He's never left Darwen (on Beelzebub Boulevard - the A666), and has nothing bad to say about Blackburn - odd, that.
