Rubbish Towns
I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.
Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

Geneva is dreadful
I've been lots on business. Once I was put up in a hotel on the Rue de Berne, which forms the heart of a totally incongrous and very un-Swiss red light district. When I got there I saw a sign behind reception with prices of rooms by the hour. I didn't get a wink of sleep as roar after drunken roar from orgasmic, overweight German businessmen dumping their load inside dead-eyed, trafficed Latvian teenagers kept me awake all night.
I went with Mrs. S as well once, en route in the car to Italy. It pissed it down all day and we were charged approximately six hundred pounds for a plate of lumpy, grey fish in the only restaurant that was open - on a Wednesday lunchtime.
Awful city.
