Rubbish Towns
I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.
Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

I live in Stockport
I'd agree with 'mediocre' and yep, it's a bit dull, but you know what, after reading everyone else's mutterings about how shit their towns are, it makes me appreciate it a bit more :)
Yeah, it's a bit boring, and you wouldn't catch me going anywhere near the town centre on a Friday or Saturday night, but you can say that about 90% of UK towns.
Here's a new phrase for the town that I've just made up now:
"Stockport - you could do worse."
You ever been to the Hat Museum? I went once with a mate of mine from Wiltshire and we spent a lot of the time on the guided tour trying not to giggle for some bizarre reason :)
