I worked there for three yearsand it was bearable, as long as I confined my experience of Brixton to whatever I saw in between the Tube and my office (three minutes from the Tube).
Oh, and visits to the oasis of Marks & Spencer, of course. The oldest M&S in London. Who'da thought it?
