Rubbish Towns
I once went to Basildon. It was closed, I got chased by a bunch of knuckle-dragged yobs until I was lost in a maze of concrete alleyways and got food poisoning off pie. Tell us about the awful places you've visited or have your home.
Thanks to SpankyHanky for the suggestion

I have to say I agree
I live in Leam, which at times has its own problems, but Stratford is just a massive pulsating tourist trap. You can't go there without being buffeted by crocodiles of schoolchildren on trips, pushed out of the way by tourists, or ripped off by locals.
I took some Argentine friends to the Shakespeare house... they wanted to see the supposed jewel in English culture. They came away disappointed.
The whole place is like flat coke. Meh.
