not me, a mate, which whilst not alluded to in the story has the rather apt moniker 'Wee-Man', for he is very short, not cos he's some form of piss-human.
So yeah, he was tiny, i dont know the height of the other people in the room, and they were kids. Remember being young and unsure of yourself? Remember just not having the balls to do a fucking thing about anything because you dont want all the shit that the other persons getting? A lot of adults are like it now, probably these lads.
