Funniest thing to ever happen at school?
Mainly this guy.

Yeah cruel I know but look at him. Just look. Never did a guy have more trouble at school. And before you ask, he brought it all on himself.

Example, in PE, we were doing shot putt. He asked if he could use a cricket ball instead of the shot. That my friends, stays with someone for ever. He might have well have said "please kick the shit out of me forever".

One day he actually brought his mum into school to tell us off. That went well.

Happy days

(We in turn had the shit kicked out of us by far bigger lads. Shit flows downhill).

Born and raised in Poynton
He looks more like a Rainow inbred to me.

Never seen him in the White Lion either. I suspect he lies!

EDIT: I knew quite few folk from Poynton High - most were knobheads although I'm sure you aren't one of them

i grew up there
its not a bad place really. But the middle class wannabe chavs are annoying. Theres a disproportionate amount of kids there - always has been. The town is essentially 8 large estates that were designed to attract people to the GM area. Unfortunately its made a huge impact economically and socially. park lane aint what it was, tescos are trying to fuck it all up like they fuck up everything else. The town pubs are mainly full of dicks, and now AJ's is shut, theres no where left to buy drugs as easily.

i know
the stories i have on him at school are legend.

He believed ANYTHING you told him. For years we had him believe we were all junkies (it was on grange hill so he knew what it meant) and not a day went past when we didnt reinforce this belief by accidentally dropping foil, straws, spoons, little wraps of flour 'accidentally' when he was around.

The cricket ball thing is true. Despite not having a geniune disability of any kind, he was utterly, utterly puny and without effort. Thats what we hated. He never tried anything. If we did running, he's stumble behind - the 100m would take about 10 minutes.

Academically, easily the worst in the year, school, anyone I have ever met. No discernable ability in any one thing, reading, writing, maths, art anything.

He had (and still only has) ONE single redeeming - but almost entirely useless - ability. He knew the Guiness Book of hit Records off by heart. Thats why he did well at 'Pop of The Form' (they recorded it at our school a few times with Mike Read!). Although, as his radio biog indicates, he still came second despite having memorised every single fact of modern music to that point.

I saw him working the bar at the MEN a few years back so he's come on in leaps and bounds.

i have hundreds more stories like this.
