Shops and Supermarkets
I used to work in a supermarket where the girl on the deli counter cut off the top of her finger in the meat slicer, but was made to finish her shift before going to hospital. You can now pay £100 to shoot zombies in the store's empty shell, haunted by poor dead nine-finger deli girl. Tell us your tales of the old retail experience, from either side of the counter

Working at Boots, 1994
The staff in the electrical department used to put new CDs on over the store tannoy system. They got the Pulp Fiction soundtrack delivered and put it on without checking.

Buying a new set of speakers for a PC
I'd just got second hand for the kids. "You can plug them into an Ipod and test them" says sales droid. OK haven't got one of those on me, but have a mobile with a whole load of assorted ringtones.
Just to set the scene, this is in a busy Comet store on a saturday.
Jumping jack flash- Perfectly acceptable, Prodigy-firestarter, works well. A clip from Snatch where Bricktop discusses the meaning of the word Nemesis. Very quickly changed to the next on the playlist.
