This is a question Amazing displays of ignorance

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "My dad's friend told us there's no such thing as gravity - it's just the weight of air holding us down". Tell us of times you've been floored by abject stupidity. "Whenever I read the Daily Express" is not a valid answer.

It is shaped a mini bit like the symbol, though (two lobes narrowing at the base).
Otherwise how/why would that symbol have come to represent the heart?

The heart symbol more closely resembles the human buttocks
Specifically the human female buttocks.

Just turn one of those symbols upside-down...

It doesn't.
It's a spread open vulva. The clitoris goes at the top, the anus a short distance below the bottom. The two sides are the labia minora, as if held open by their owner to invite you in to her vagina.

You may also like to know that maypoles aren't so innocent, either. And neither is morris dancing.
