My takeIgnorance is a lack of facts - the building blocks of knowledge. This can be remedied by inserting knowledge
Stupidity is a lack of the faculties required to use your knowledge - an inability to put the building blocks together. This is much, much harder to tackle than ignorance, since even clever people might be ignorant on a specific subject, which can be remedied, but the stupid (who simply happen to be ignorant, because they're stupid) - well, teaching them is like trying to push water uphill. With a sieve.
