That's not the point.
At least here (I assume you're talking about the UK), when something like that happens the Sun gets it's super-moral-highground writing pen out and names and shames the offender. The Sun and all the red-tops LOVE this kind of story.
Hence why these papers might have their uses in America. By the time that guy kept his job perhaps it is a necessary evil.
