Is he the sort of person whose stereo system costs more than the old banger into which it is fitted?
If he likes his music, fair enough: I just hope he's not one of those people who wind their windows down and turn up the bass, in the mistaken assumption that other people will be able to "enjoy" his music too.

He is.
The old banger in question was probably a fifth of the cost of the setup inside it.
Come to think of it, the security system he installed to keep said banger from getting nicked probably cost a little more than the car.

We were young and not too bright, and hey, chicks love bassheads...right?...erm...right?
