I worked for a firm that had a presence in many towns & cities across the UK, until it recently went into administration.

Some stores had daytime security staff as well as counter staff. The business premises in Liverpool were the only ones which had 24 hour security guards on the door, as it was actually cheaper than dealing with the break-ins, which when it wasnt guarded happened almost immediately
