My kettle does this too, about 20 mins after it's been used, I think the click tells you that it's cooled down. And come on, your alarm clock probably went missing because your younger brother moved it. Not sure what to say about the doorbell, tbh I suspect a rational explanation - is it wired in to the speaker box, which is powered?
