I have experienced sleep paralysis..
Its fucking scary. I had gone to bed, but my dog had barked to go out in the early hours of the morning and so disrupted my sleep pattern. It happened an hour or so after.. I was awake but couldn't move even my little finger..I was frozen solid. The scariest part was the breathing. If normally we breath at 100%, I was only breathing 5%, and felt like I was being suffocated but there was nothing I could do.

In my mind I screamed in terror, thinking, I am going to die. I slowly calmed myself down and tried to concentrate, but I was so groggy.. the kind of feeling where you can't help but close your eye's you are that tired.

Somehow I snapped out of it.. and gasped for air, just as if I had been holding my breath under water, then finally surfaced.

I was tired all through the morning, and was left feeling odd. At some point during the paralysis, I believed there were people in the room with me..but I couldn't see them.. but I read afterwards that this is apparently to do with the brain.
