This is a question Starting something you couldn't finish

Finnbar says: I used to know a guy who tattooed LOVE across his left knuckles, but didn't tattoo HATE on the other knuckles because he was right-handed and realised he couldn't finish. Ever run out of skills or inspiration halfway through a job?

Great unfinished software
A few years back I started work on three really fantastic pieces of software.

One is a music composition program. A bit like the classic Amiga Soundtracker, if you remember that. It's looking so good that I've already had a glowing full-page preview in a national magazine (true that) and people have already composed music for platform games using a beta version. It's actually mostly finished, I just need to complete the UI rejig I started on.

The second is a fantastic desktop publishing add-on that you bolt onto a certain popular wordprocessor. Can't fail. And the third is just fun - one of those old-school "demos" with whizzy effects, funky music, scrolling messages sending greetings to all my fellow coders, etc. etc.

I really ought to get on and finish them. After all, if I don't hurry up the bottom will drop out of the Amstrad CPC software market.
