Starting something you couldn't finish
Finnbar says: I used to know a guy who tattooed LOVE across his left knuckles, but didn't tattoo HATE on the other knuckles because he was right-handed and realised he couldn't finish. Ever run out of skills or inspiration halfway through a job?

Good for you. I had a similar but less awful scheming, pernickety horror as a supervisor a couple of years ago, that I simply wasn't able to walk away from as the job was part of my degree. There's nothing that compares to finally getting out of it and being yourself again.
EDIT: Shit, that's not just me then? I used to wake up occasionally for months thinking I had to go back there in the morning before remembering "Oh thank God, I'm not back in that lab". The place is shut now though, heh.
