We used to do something similarWhen going down South to visit the family, we used to detour through Lincoln and pop a gnome and a letter from the Gnome Liberation Front on their dorrstep demanding that our friends gave the persectued gnome shelter.
They never pinned it on us until about the 5th or 6th time. I wish you luck in your endeavour
