Near misses are the best.. My conversion rate was, astonishingly, pretty good (although I'm married now, so that's all behind me). However, it's the near misses that still make my helmet rise, time after time. The what could have been sent always more satisfying than the what went wrong, and the one woman I truly clicked with sexually dumped me, quite rightly, after she found out that I lusted after her housemate.
