Still totally bewilders me. Someone told me it's 'to get a bigger splash', but then surely the kid would want a smaller splash so that they don't get slimed, too?

The child would be more entertained by their parent freaking out about being dropped from a height.Who would have the more amusing reaction, someone about to be dropped ten feet into a puddle of shit, or someone about to be pushed into a puddle of shit?
