I won a complete set of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, c.1968Well, I say "won", but what I mean is that I was the only one who could be arsed to turn up and collect it, according to the lovely lady who'd listed it on Freecycle.
So it might not have anything of importance from the last 40 years - roughly one-sixth of America's entire history - but it's still a superb reference work and looks impressive on my shelves, too.
