In a nutshellthats how you do it. To get away with anything, do it in plain sight, and better still tell everyone about it. I used to nick PC's by picking them up and walking out with them in the middle of the day. People would joke as I walked past, "ha are you nicking that?!" to which I'd reply "yes! of course". No one ever thinks you really are. I stabbed someone on the tube once.
