I ask because in on of my favourite novels there's a character called Sean Morrison, and he's dead. He lives somewhere where dead people live normally, though (Shadows Fall by Simon R Green - read the damn book, it's easier than me having to explain). Someone asks him, "your name wasn't always Sean, was it?" and he replies, "no, it wasn't." I was wondering if this was a sly reference to Van Morrison, but evidently not if he's still alive.
