So rather than learn a number of real-world skills and be left with an appreciating asset at the end of it
you'd rather spend a few months in complete isolation in the uninhabitable portions of the globe, blowing obscene wads of cash on having your skin flayed from your body by salt spray.

In fairness, I'd quite like to see him sail around the world.
Worst case scenario is he's not here for months on end, and if we get lucky then he drowns at sea.

What I'm finding with Firefox
is that it loads a page, then after three seconds the page jumps down to another point, and the link you clicked isn't the one you thought you clicked. This is getting irksome.

I think this is a demonstration
of different strokes for different folks.
My reasoning for sailing around the world would (not on my own) would to be to visit multiple civilisations and cultures I've never seen before, land on their beaches and head inland for a few days before sailing further down the coast.
