I agree with that. I watched some new Simpsons earlier on and it can't touch the older episodes.

3. Simpsons befriend celebrity and solve each others problems.

yeah, a really long setup that was discarded when they got to where they wanted to go
like when they came to england to meet Blair the first half was just how they got to england, then dropped like it was hot. whatever that means.
