Personally I enjoyed the first couple of episodes.
but the last few were, in my opinion, awful.

oh yeah, just remembered them. the underground bunker and all that shit.
that was attrocious. I think that might have made sense if it was over an additional 5 episodes, but it was just shite.

It's like they started with the start of the comics and slowly started replacing the writers for the tv scripts with people who'd never even heard of a zombie.
