i had the 16v 1.4 rover metro at one point.
the manifold rotted and the local rover dealer wanted £600 for the part alone. how i laughed as i drove around in my shitty little car sounding like a harrier jump jet.

Rover engines were wonderfully reliable
in the sense that as soon as the clocks went from 69,999 to 70,000 the head gasket went.
