My sadly deceased grandparents (mothers side) were very impressed with the old VCR we passed onto them, but once, when we went round for tea, they were sitting quietly in the kitchen rather than the 'front room'. On asking why they said they were taping 'Highway' and didn't want their voices to come on the tape .....

Oh how appropriate ..
My own wedding - all went well and I even ended the night fairly sober (so I could 'perform' later) - Great.
M-in-L edited the wedding video at home and added some music over the top - Endless Whisper and then followed by Don't you want me (it was the 1980's) What was she thinking !!
Didn't work - still together 12 years and two kids later!

38 grand in mostly 20's
We had a large extension added to our house, around £40,000 worth and the builder 'prefered' to deal in cash (and we got a good discount), so once a fortnight, I would trot off to the bank in the High Street and ask for £9,000 in cash. Always took a couple of thick carrier bags with me, I'd then walk back to work and stuff it in my briefcase and take it home for the builder. The only slightly worrying thing was the teller in the bank would talk rather loudly, as he was confirming and counting out the money (shhhhh) and I'd look around the bank furtively as he was counting ....

Bestest ....
Apart from the birth of my two children, what stands out is a Queen gig in early 1990's. I'd queued for hours for the tickets earlier in the year, then queued for hours outside the venue to get a good standing spot and then waited around for hours after the support. When the lights came on and they came out, was trouser wetting good. I'll never forget it. Seeing the whole of St. James park clapping to Radio GaGa was incredible.
Also driving through California and Nevada desert, with my wife before we had kids, with no where in particular to go and ending up in Death Valley late at night - intense.

I have been a model for a character in 2000ad, appeared alongside 'Mean Machine'. A good mate from college is/was a cartoon artist and he took some photos of me in various poses for the strip. One of the only 2000ad artists that uses oils ....
I also used to knock about with Vic Reeves first wife ....
