That makes me itch
I know it's all cool and popular to complain about how shit he (Trump) is, but I'm genuinely getting worried about the direction people are going in, I feel this is gonna "normalise" Le pen (in France) and Gert Wilders in Netherlands and their respective brands of nasty/crazy.

hopefully it'll have the effect
of making people more determined not to let people who think like him into positions of power

I'm also concerned about people who think smashing up Chicago and Detroit and telling ~50% of the voting public that they're morons and their opinion is irrelevant
is almost as concerning -- at least if we want to retain the slightest respect for democracy.
I've long had the view that democracy is a nice idea scuppered by the fact that people as a whole are not actually all that nice (and even more importantly, almost never even dimly well-informed on any given issue and I of course include myself in that), and 2016 has left me feeling a bit vindicated.
I'm voting for a return to the days when the Civil Service ran everything the same way regardless of the government, which I think is rather preferable to a return to totalitarian states or absolutist monarchies.

He's already being less aggressive than Obama or that lady that just lost. Herr Hillary.
People who I respect, like scientists and one or two economists (Richard Wolff), are sighing in relief. It's jumping out of the fire and into the frying pan. But it's still a potential improvement. Just this morning Mr T Rump was saying that we do not want to meddle with Assad.
At least it will be entertaining. And sexy. And gold plated.

Entertaining I grant you, but sexy ?!
That's not gold, that's orange.

Scientists sighing with relief?
You've not been keeping up with the people getting the environmental protection jobs, have you?

This is happenning because the left are such a bunch of total spastics
It just goes to show how utterly unelectable that cuntbag Hillary is, even after pulling all the strings to block Bernie and promote (the easily defeatable) Trump. Killed by her own creation, and it's fucking Hillarious.
