I don't care whether is paintmashed, photoshop or even drawn on toilet paper in crayon, the thing is the idea should be funny to you.
Don't just throw any oldshit together just for the sake of something to post and claim 'lack of hummus' as an excuse for lazyness.
Shit attracts shit, if people put some thought into things it ups the ante and thusly makes the board a better place to inhabit.
Even if people don't think its funny, they will appreciate the effort taken.
