and whether they don't have access to the internet, or don't count as people. These are the only two options I can discern from your posts on /links, and I would like to know whether they're not actually people or they don't have access to the internet.

Captain Anti-Racist strikes another blow for fans of race relations. Gasp as he fearlessly replies to any post deemed to be racist & our self-appointed welsh travel agent guardian of good taste will slash them with the wit of a welsh travel agent...

HURRAH!
Bravo, but out of consideration to the person who started this thread to show him image I'd rather talk about this in private messages.

I wasn't saying that asian people don't have access to the internet, or anything along those lines, please read what I have actually posted before making judgements.

People over the age of 10 really should be able to discern this kind of thing, surely the meaning is OBVIOUS.

I was just making a humourous remark and then mocking you for good measure. But apparently b3ta IS NOT THE PLACE FOR HUMOUROUS REMARKS!

I don't see the point. Most of you here only seem to value freedom of speech when it's stuff you agree with.

It was probably unfair of me to bring them up here, but you didn't ever continue that thread on /links.
You said that "anyone over the age of ten should be able to deal with offensive words". I countered that you might like to try that in a part of Glasgow with a predominantly Pakistani population, and your reply was "Point taken and noted. Anyone over the age of ten on the internet."
To me, this means that either Pakistani people don't have access to the internet, or that they don't count as people.
Which is it?

When I said "anyone over the age of ten should be able to deal with offensive words", and then corrected it to, "Point taken and noted. Anyone over the age of ten on the internet." What I meant is that people usually take things less seriously when it's said on a computer screen and by someone they don't know, going into deepest Pollocks and calling someone a 'paki' would be taken more seriously there than over the internet. The 10 year old part was supposed to imply that 10 year olds might not take into consideration the fact that stuff on the internet usually has less meaning. Anyway I'm sorry if I gave of the wrong signal and for my sloppy writing.

For what it's worth, I don't honestly think that you meant it to be a racist comment, but in my opinion that's how it came out.
I hope you understand how I interpreted what you said, and I apologise if I took it the wrong way.
