Civilisation, BBC documentary, 1969
On telly tonight, BBC4, 9:10PM.
History of everything, from the dark ages to the 20th century, in 13 x 1 hour episodes.
Some say it's the best thing the BBC ever made. Others point out they "forgot" to mention women.

Offs, B3ta, please sort out short youtu.be links.
It's www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2lmlDp2WGg

They work fine now.
The auto-preview is a bit wonky though. Click edit then untick the “don’t use auto preview” box, then save the post.
Getting YouTube shorts to embed is a bit more problematic.

Did that, doesn't seem to have worked. I'll make a manual image, I guess.

You also need to remove everything after the ? as well as the ?
i.e. youtu.be/b2lmlDp2WGg
Academic really, given that you can’t embed that video anyway.

I tried, but it doesn't seem to let you edit the URL.
I tried editing the text at the same time; still didn't work - the link is the original one, with a ?si=rjMpch7qehY2INP7 on the end.

more of a visual novel so far, but I think there are more gameplay elements further in.
Be warned, though, that it's a work in progress, with additional content added every few months or so.

As a billing unit it makes perfect sense, for electricity anyway. Gas bills? Probably less so, but it does allow a meaningful comparison between them.
Sure it eventually cancels down to Joules, but that’s not an intuitively understandable unit.

Surely it's better than BTU though!
I was very happy when they swapped to kWh for precisely the reason you said - you could directly get a feel for the relative costs, although for heating purposes it can be misleading if you don't account for boiler efficiency etc.

Mathematically speaking, that's correct.
But a lot of programming languages allow mathematical operations on strings, and that would be the correct result.
