The Philips Family"Cassette" is properly called "ACC" - Audio Compact Cassette.
"Video 2000" - the third 'also-ran' video format from the early 1980s, was actually called "VCC" - Video Compact Cassette.
So it's hardly surprising that they went for DCC.
