This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

« Go Back

Being at work
as I miss all the fun on here during the day and only get to read about it in the evenings when everyone else has buggered off home.

*woe is me I know*

Hi Becky.
But the late shift will start soon just as I go off to bed.
(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 20:56, closed)
Has BGB gone yet?
Can we come out?

Not in a gay way mind.

Unless you want to.
(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 20:58, closed)
Al you're mean
but I think it's safe to come out now. I'm sure that as soon as everyone congregates I'll get the phone call I've been waiting for all evening and will miss more fun stuff anyway
(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 21:04, closed)

I've been flicking between here and Facebook thinking, "Well, this is fucking dead"
I did get all of mistaspakkaman's epic read though.

Noooo!
I'm still here. Wait till I give the signal, which is....phew! I'm tired, I'm off to bed. Then you all come out and chat....see!

I can't cope with
reading that much. I just want the nob and spunk jokes.

And BGB knows I'm only joking. I miss her and her pierced jubblies.

Pierced you say?

I'm going to read Spakka's epic now, just found it.

who would like to summarise today's board posts so I don't have to read them all. I gather some unpleasantness occured regarding aspergers, and Enzyme got all clever with spimf until DG talked about kittens.

some people have autism and are sad about the way they are treated, some cunts from main board thought it would be funny to tell them to save time and kill themselves, spimf told everyone to ignore them, and we did.

@MM
well, if I were to use natural mint source shave gel, the experience would be akin to having ice on my balls ON MY FACE apparently.

But I always use hair conditioner so I don't know.

Well as an experiment
I'd say it was a success. Bacon and chicken ravioli as a meal is not however. It mings. Think I'll stick to the veggie ones as the ones last week were much nicer. MM, how do you make the pasta less floppy though? I'd rather it was a bit more crunchy than the floppy mess that's residing on my plate

Spakka, I'd be around for those days too
(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 22:20, closed)
I always
feel a bit empty once DiT has left me.

No, that doesn't really work. I'm trying to get some sort of bum sex inference but it's not really right.
(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 22:20, closed)
@becky
just don't boil it as long.

If it's fresh pasta it only take about 2 or 3 minutes, dry pasta takes about 7-8 minutes for slightly bitey, and over 10 for really floppy.
(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 22:21, closed)
Becky
You boil it for less time. Are you boiling the water before you put pasta in?

EDIT: al, I don't remember becky asking your advice.

Ooh handbag fisticuffs over pasta
*gets popcorn*

Yeah, it's fresh pasta. Thanks, I'll try that next time :) Edit: Can you reheat it as i've got loads left as I chucked the whole lot in and I'm nibbling on it now and it's not so bad.

On a side note, yay for me as I did my first nurses appointment all by myself today. Just a flea check that was supposed to last 15 minutes but the guy would not shut the fuck up about his other cats, so I had to rush out to help with a PTS that the vet was waiting on me for. But I priced it up correctly, gave him the right treatment and managed to not get any fleas on me. So yay :)

Cheers A
I wouldn't have minded so much only he was really old and obviously had no one else to talk to, so he rambled on for ages. I turfed him out and he spent another 15 minutes talking about the football to the receptionist. She didn't thank me ,)

Re pasta:
Usually, it tells you how long it takes to cook. Just take a small sample and boil it and experiment with different boiling times plus or minus a few minutes to either side. Once you’ve found your ideal time, make a note of it. Should be the same for all pasta of that variety.

Re London meetup: I’ll let you know when I’ve decided on a date.

@ancrenne re pants
Perhaps if we had some sort of b3ta motif. Or something that can easily be identified by the QOTW regulars.

EDIT: G'night al

Aww poor little sausage
no more crabs for her then. My cats love crab meat and will tear your hand apart trying to get at it.

Edit: I'd buy B3ta boyshorts
(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 22:43, closed)
We don't normally
have crab in the house, and it was the first time she's had it. Allergic reactions don't suit dogs. And she had to wait hours before going to the vet cause they was busy.
(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 22:52, closed)
Bastard vets
I'd have said I'm bringing her down right now and you need to treat her. *has seen how bad allergic reactions can get very fast in dogs and sympathises*

(, Mon 30 Jun 2008, 22:54, closed)
Meh
she'd managed to scratch a load of her fur off behind her ear by the time I got down in the morning. And she was doing her overexcited spastic boxer wiggle when I saw her so she must have been up for ages waiting for me.

Never seen a tortoise with a cat, but I really really want to.

We've got a starling at work at the moment that I've been feeding all day and I feel a bit guilty as it's on its own all night. I'm sure it'll be fine as mamma birds dont feed their young at night, but can almost hear it's chirping now.
