This is a question Bizarre habits

Sandettie Light Vessel Automatic tells us: "Until I pointed it out, my other half use to hang out the washing making sure that both pegs were the same colour. Now she goes out of her way to make sure they never match." Tell us about bizarre rituals, habits and OCD-like behaviour.

monkey toes' post just reminded me
when i buy a new DVD, i have to be the one to take the wrapper off it. i don't care if i'm not the first person to watch it, but if anyone takes that cellophane-type wrapping off before i can get to it, i basically throw my toys out of the pram and sulk like a twat.
stupid, i know, but there you go.

I'm like that with some things
I think with me it came from sticker swapping as a littlun. All those manky stickers that had been passed from person to person, and then you opened a lovely clean packet with all the stickers all perfect and that 'new sticker packet' smell.

Now it's moved on to gadgets. You unbox my new Apple iShiny, you better be ready for the fury I will unleash.

with me
it's more a case of "mine! fuck off!", stemming from having to suffer hand-me-downs as a kid. getting something new was a rarity.

If someone reads my paper before me
Their death is a reasonable option.

i never buy the paper
i go down and pinch my dad's, just to do the sudoku puzzles he can't do

I'm with you
Totally agree...that's not mental...it's something else..

perfectly reasonable is what it is.
see also - those stickers you get on album (showing my age there) or cd sleeves.
I remember buying the 'ChangesBowie' double lp years and years ago, and my big sister starting to pick the 'bowie on tour' sticker off the front - I went spare.

Oh my God I do this too- I love it! My friends and gf always take the piss.
I buy them, unwrap them, open them, close them, then put them in a perfect pile, all edges together and facing the same way...

... erm too far?
