Nah, Lidl wines do consistently well at blind tests and are favoured over rivals that are ten times the price

nope.
It is a repackaged Dalmore 12. Dalmore 12 is 33 quid or so a bottle. The quality is exactly the same. It's not like single malt is produced on the same scale as other white label goods. There are only a few distilleries which make that style of whisky.

No difference in quality whatsoever.
