(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:38, Reply)
so you're looking for 249,950?

(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:38, Reply)
yep

(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:39, Reply)
I see.
Can you not just rent it out again or is it unlikely to hit 300k?
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:41, Reply)
I want the equity by Feb/Mar next year so dont want to get a new tenant in

(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:42, Reply)
6 month AST then rolling, then serve two month's notice.
Done.
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:45, Reply)
Didn't want the fuck on of new tenants TBH
Sell it then keep the cash
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:47, Reply)
so you'll opt out of capital appreciation plus rental yield just for less hassle?
Seems legit.
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:51, Reply)
Its at the top of its value.
If I can sell now and my tenants are moving out I can get rent on a property I dont even own any more
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:52, Reply)
yeah true
How long do sales take where you are?
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:54, Reply)
Hopefully not too long
We bought ours in less than 6 weeks
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:55, Reply)
Subthread of the year right here

(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:57, Reply)
Oh yeah

(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:57, Reply)
also yeah
Wait for the ISA limit to go up to 15k in July, bang 15k of the equity in a stocks & shares ISA and the balance in the same funds via an OEIC.

Keep until Feb/March, job done, in the correct funds you'd be looking at minimum 10% growth in a year, even with 5% over the 9 months or so you''ve pissed all over inflation.
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:58, Reply)
That I might well do
I'll drop you a gaz should we sell for some ideas
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 12:59, Reply)
the value of an investment, and any income from it, can go down as well as up and you may not get back the amount invested
Past performance is not a guide to future performance.

Have you got any advice regarding pensions?

(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 13:07, Reply)
pay in as much as you can so that you max out the tax relief
And as a rough rule of thumb your contribution as a percentage of your income should be half your age.
(, Fri 28 Mar 2014, 13:08, Reply)
Really?
Fuck, that means I'm woefully underfunding my pension pot.
